Out in Howe Sound, very windy, then no wind, then too much wind. At least I was able to sail some of the time. I really need a 2nd person when it is this windy ... at least just to hold the camcorder so I can get video of the trip.

Route for the solo trip Aug 1st, 2010. First there was way too much wind, then no wind, then way too much wind. I guess that is sailing.

Sailing in between the traffic separation lanes so I should have been out of the way ... so imagine my surprise when I heard the horn behind me ... made a quick gybe to point away and started filming ... I was doing about 4 knots and this ship passed me like I was standing still

Quick run down to English Bay and the traffic separation lanes, tangled with a big container ship ... they are big, fast, quite and you need to get out of their way

Wonderful Thursday out with Vicky ... sailed down towards UBC and back ... wind was wonderful and consistent which pleased Vicky since she didn't have to do much apart from enjoy.

Out with Janet and Andrea and hit some wild waves. I did pretty well at making sure everyone was safe, while having lots of fun.

Out with Janet and Andrea and we ran into a chip barge doing circles in Howe Sound ... they are pretty big and unpredictable in where they are going.
