Sailing Routes

8.1 miles, 2:23 hrsSolo sail looking for wind and finding nothing. There was a gale warning up, but the wind was blowing about 1 knot at the weather station. Lot of motoring before I finally gave up.

13.8 miles, 3:39 hoursNice sail in between rain showers. Good wind at times, but most of the time light wind that pushed the boat around 4 knots. Made a quick run back home when the weather suddenly changed at the end of the trip.

12.4 miles, 3:31 hrsWonderful sail out in the Strait with 20+ knot winds and 3-5 ft waves. Nothing in Howe Sound, but the wind in the Strait was enough to make it an exciting trip out. Passed a log tow in Howe Sound that had about 100 seals basking in the warm sun. Beautiful day out.

13.2 miles, 5:10 hoursLooking for wind and going nowhere. Had the spinnaker up north of Finisterre Island and was moving backwards with the current. Good wind coming down the Sound heading home.

18.8 miles, 5:37 hours Trip up the north side of Bowen getting a different view of the island. Apart from the north easten side of Bowen by Finister there was great wind. Didn't set up the spinnaker because of the wind warning, but it wasn't that bad.
