Half way down Howe Sound the wind really picked up and made for an entertaining ride. From Cape Roger Curtis to Finnister Island we had the spinnaker up and were hitting 6.5 knots. The time limit for the race was 7:30 so for the first time I actually made it within the time ... from my rating the adjusted time for the race was 6:25:09. I ended up coming 16 out of 16 in my division. From the early results there were 89 boats racing. I crossed the line 81st out of the 89, but with my corrected time I came in 61st out of 89 ... not too bad for only my 2nd time in the race.
